Madeira
Madeira is a most beautiful island which can be explored by hiring a car, or indeed
a taxi for the day. Funchal, the capital is five minutes walk past the harbour. Most
of the island is completely unspoilt with amazing walks and drives through the volcanic
mountains -
Madeira Regency Palace (Weeks 30,31). This lovely timeshare 5* hotel is situated 200 metres from the beach, although beaches are mostly stony in Madeira. The luxurious apartment has one double bedroom and a double sofa in the lounge that converts into a bed i.e. Sleeps 4 with adequate bedding a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The large veranda has magnificent views of the sea and the largest cliffs in Europe rising to a height of 550 metres. It also overlooks a beautiful tropical garden that leads to the two large outdoor swimming pools, one with a pool bar. There are also extensive sport facilities, inside swimming pool, tennis, bowls and other sports. The ground floor also houses a superb collection of old cars
Pestana Mirimar (Week 32) This is a Timeshare, one bedroom apartment (i.e. mid August ) in a beautiful 5* complex with extensive grounds. The apartment is extremely well appointed with a balcony having a fantastic views of the sea and overlooks the town of Funchal and the large outdoor swimming pool There are two large bathrooms and the sofa turns into a large double bed , thus accommodating a total of 4 people. The complex is situated virtually opposite the Reid’s hotel that Winston Churchill made famous with his many visits to this lovely island. other sportive activities bowling, tennis, etc.
Both hotels have some superb restaurants, but there are many other eating places in the immediate surrounding areas
We have three consecutive Timeshare, Gold Crown weeks in Funchal, Madeira. For those who are not familiar with RCI this is equivalent to a 5* hotel. Two weeks are at the Madeira Regency and the third week is at the Pestana Mirimar just opposite the famous Reids Palace where Winston Churchill spent so much of his free time.
The weeks can be those below, or we can bank them with RCI to have any other period, if that is preferred, but this will involve an extra fee to RCI. Weeks are available singularly.
